mA textile free magazine

Textile Free magazine "mA"

Department of Textile Design, Tama Art University

Volunteer free magazine

mA editorial department

Its predecessor was a free paper named "Kandachime", which was first published in 2009, and by November 2016, a total of 18 issues had been published. In January 2017, when I became the editor-in-chief, I changed the concept to "Textile Free Magazine mA" in order to take over "Kandachime" while expanding the scope of activities and disseminating it to outsiders. Branded. (After that, I was the editor-in-chief until vol.04 in 2019.)

"From a creative perspective of learning textiles, we actually see, hear, feel, and convey what we have explored to many outsiders."

Based on the above concept, we are currently publishing twice a year, aiming to be a free magazine that students, working adults, and elderly people can easily pick up. The name "mA" is derived from the idea that textiles act as an intermediary for various things and things, and are indispensable for everyday life, which plays the role of "pause". We have issued a total of 4 issues from 2017 to the present. vol.04  The editor-in-chief will pass the baton to the next generation, but mA  The editorial department will continue to be an intermediary between textiles and people.

* Won the editorial award at Student Freepaper Forum 2018.
