"200FLAGS" morning color

hunting/beach flag

 

in Kamakura, Inamuragasaki Beach

 

This project, carried out by the Tama Art University Textile Research Group on July 16, 2018, involved erecting 200 hand-dyed flags in the colors of the morning sea on Inamuragasaki Beach in Kamakura.

The 200 colors of the sea, combined with the power of fabric, guide people and create a scenic landscape.

The color of the sea changes from day to day, time to time to moment. Each of the 200 colors takes on a special meaning.
