Building on techniques developed through my previous practice and collaborations with Japanese craftspeople, this collection explores new combinations of materials and colors to develop a different approach to textile expression.
Through a range of techniques, the collection focuses on the changing appearance of textiles depending on viewpoint, distance, light, and time, and on the process through which these changes are perceived.
The textiles presented in this collection are available for purchase from 1 meter, while the works are available individually.
Please feel free to get in touch if you are interested.

-Oboro
Hand-screen-printed onto chambray fabric using two colors of interference pearl pigments, the textile changes in tone depending on the angle of incoming light, the movement of the fabric, and the viewer’s position.
The colors of the pigments overlap with those of the chambray, creating an appearance that shifts as it is viewed. Rather than settling into a single color, the work explores a sense of color that continuously fluctuates and transforms through the act of looking.

Width: approx. 1,200 mm
Minimum order: 1 m

Waku
This textile is created using thick-layer hand screen printing by craftspeople in Kyoto, carefully composing colors and geometric forms.
Two colors are selected based on complementary relationships and differences in value. Combined with the raised texture of the printing, they create a sense of visual movement and depth.
Depending on the viewing angle, one color becomes partially concealed. As the fabric bends and drapes, the geometric forms also deform, exploring how their appearance shifts with the viewer’s perspective.

Width: approx. 1,150 mm
Minimum order: 1 m

-Une
Hand-screen-printed onto chambray organza, a shrinkable fabric is bonded to the surface in a pattern and then peeled away after heat shrinking, creating irregular relief across the textile.
Variations in fabric density created through the shrinking process affect the transmission and reflection of light, producing complex shadows and tonal variations.
By focusing on the three-dimensional structures that emerge within a single sheet of lightweight fabric, the work explores how depth and texture change with viewpoint, distance, and light.

Width: approx. 1,100 mm
Minimum order: 1 m

-Mupi
Cut textile pieces are connected and layered through slits, without adhesive, gradually developing into a larger form.
The individual shapes and textures of each piece generate new surfaces and structures through connection and accumulation.
The resulting tactile structure, with its volume and undulating surface, creates shadows and a sense of visual depth. The work explores the relationship between individual elements and the larger collective form, and how this relationship shifts depending on the viewing distance.
¥250,000 + tax
Size: approx. 500 × 500 mm
Custom sizing available — price on request

-Kakera
A thin colored film is applied to both sides of hand-pleated organza and then torn away, creating an irregular surface scattered with shapes reminiscent of cut-paper compositions.
Wrinkles and overlapping forms that emerge through the process of tearing create shadows and depth across the textile surface.
Areas of translucency allow the background to become part of the composition, exploring new possibilities for a textile that extends between fabric and space.
¥18,000 + tax
Size: approx. 1,000 × 1,000 mm
Minimum order: 1 piece
